My Living Room Before and After because Spring has Sprung…….Part 2

Remember this post here about my Masters Update in our Formal Living Dining Entry. Well we have finished and its turned out better than I had envisaged…….which is always a bonus.
I am so excited I took 1 million photos and it was really hard to cut them down so grab a coffee and take the tour.
A Panoramic Before
Given we have quite a traditional house and we will be selling it when we finish the new house (this time next year) we needed to keep the look from the outside working internally for flow and feel. I have always been a big  fan of the Chinoiserie look and have collected many different pieces over the years that suit this styling so out they came to work back with the furniture and new paint work and I think the update is two thumbs up.
We painted the Living room and Entry wall in Dulux Simpson Surprise and the rest of the room in Dulux Buff It which were after stripping the wallpaper…….now that was a bit of a messy job but we got there in the end.
Again with this house there is no need to do any structural updates as it is a great home with a great layout that is easily adaptable to most families so we made the most of the unusual wall at the front door and added some wall shelves for extra excitement. You are all excited now right! I thought so……hehe.
We also needed a new lamp that was able to fit in with the new look but would work well with the new house in some capacity also.
A table lamp was chosen in my favourite tribal look and it was only…..wait for it……….$59. You can find it here but have a look around there are some amazing lighting options at Masters.

My favourite find from Masters were the 2 mirrors that are now taking pride of place on our newly painted Dining Room Wall

All these awesome Masters finds along with some of my own pieces from Bownce have added up to a great Spring update for our Living Room cosmetic update.

What do you think, would you ever add half a room of green paint to your update?

  1. Quite a transformation! Green isn’t a favourite colour of mine but I think your use of it is great. Especially love how you’ve brought the green into the adjacent living area through the judicial placement of accessories and that gorgeous green velvet cushion! X kl
