Holiday Inspiration

We all know how quickly the Christmas Holidays sneak up and seeing as we are going away this weekend for 3 weeks I am thinking I need to start planning the Christmas Decor now.
We love entertaining and now we are in our new home there is even more of an opportunity.
I am thinking I want to make it more personal this year, so started this inspiration post.
They will arrive to something like this
Thanks Stormy for this inspiring Christmas door decor image.
I am thinking mine will be a green bow with a black border.
Inside the front entrance, nothing to change here, I love it how it looks with our “decorative” double bass.
Around the corner you will be faced with my dining table.
I love a mix of pendants in different shapes and sizes.
These Pendants would be hanging over my dining table and
there would be place cards like these
The table setting would be something like this.
Most who know me, know I love to mix Elements, textures and looks.
We generally eat Seafood bbq’s for any Christmas catch ups
and then we will head out to the Alfresco to sit by the pool and start a fire when the sun goes down to take the chill out of the air.
NO…..that was just a dream. It just gets so hot here we will not need the fireplace but
In reality our Alfresco does look over the pool instead we have an outdoor setting that will be decorated with these
These are from Here
We will eat orange sorbet for dessert
and I will simply decorate the table setting with these for effect.
…..and when everyone heads home after a wonderful evening with friends
Then we will go to bed in our room filled with a fur throw and tufted bedhead
A stunning mix of cushions in classic Asian inspired fabrics.
and our bed would sit in a room with Inky blue/black walls and a fire place.
Inky blue bedroom
OK that bits also a dream as I haven’t finished decorating this part of our home.
The inspiration is still required.
Please feel free to send me any inspirational ideas for my Christmas decor…. and I will feature them in another post when I get back from my much need holiday.

  1. Have a fabulous holiday! I was beggining to think you needed it when I saw the fireplace in Australia at Christmas….. love the inky blue walls by the way – could be a great colour for your home?
