A little room with a lot of pride.

This room was deemed and unhabitable room as far as the council was concerned……Insert roll eyes here…..
So on the plans we had to call it a pantry… and it would have been the greatest upstairs pantry ever. But we had other plans for this space and I can I tell you it is neearly finished no, no handles as yet and nothing in there but soon it will be a little room with a lot of pride.
We wanted to have a designated study area but this little house need more space dedicated to other rooms so we decided a great plan was needed and of course great visionary design….cue the decorator…ooh thats me….
Here is the progress so far
Hubby and I each have laptops so 1 side each and I am thinking a little ottoman cube for our chairs.
He is determined to put his model motorbikes and hotrods on “my” display shelf….I had made the overheads low enough for them to go up there….hhmmm I wounder who is going to win this one.

  1. Love the desk tops and shelf! Great little room. My sister is currently renting a house while they build and the rental has a room exactly like this. They love it so much that they have incorporated the same room into their new house. On paper they had to call it a walk in linen, bit like your pantry ;-) Looks great, well done.

  2. LOVE the council comment (I am soooo not in love with councils, lol). Your ‘pantry’ is really nice. Can’t wait to see it filled….. once you’ve worked out where to hide the car models etc. lol! Good luck. :)

  3. Aagh the models…looks like I may lose this battle but thanks for popping in and seeing my favourite room so far..
I keep taking stuff over to the house and finding its supposed to go in the study but its just not going to fit…..having to think very creatively about storage…Afters won’t be far away
    Thanks Sal, Katrina and Elecat
