Thursdays a few of my favourite things.
This weeks edition of Thursdays a few of my favourite things…
Some of these images are just my favourites for their colour palette and others are for the style and
the above pic is because I love simple subtle ideas that make small wows in a room.
Did you catch the diamond patterned paint squares on the painted white timber floor above….subtle but so stylish.
OK there are way too many things to list that are just fabulous about this image but here goes
Rustic table and metal decor…..mixing textures and Elements you should know by now is my absolute favourite thing…..and who can’t say know to fresh fruit and flowers on a table no matter what the setting
Both the above images are from here
Maybe a new way of displaying your fruit is with your very own labelled baskets. I love a textured way of showing fruit. From here
So did you ever wonder how to mix contemporary style with a rustic feel and make it feel oh so simple and effortless.
This is pure luxury, a pool in your living room…….What do you do with the splash?
This is just a purely stunning image of Asian pottery in a shop window and the beauty of overcrowding a window display through necessity but with the colour palette and style of each piece it doesn’t matter, you can see about this image here
Now I have to leave you with another 1 of my most favourite things….my boy has a tea towel around his waist, a cut up sheet around his shoulders and a piece of non slip matting around his head and he thinks he is Batman. I love the imagination of children and how they can find enjoyment from the simplest of things.
That picture of your son made me laugh outloud at my desk! lol what a classic! And your dog is giving him the evil green eye!

Hahaha I love that photo of your little man… I go weak at the knees seeing little boys (wonder why?) LOL
Well of course there would be no splash in that pool because people who are wealthy enough to do this are also whippit thin & therefor don’t even cause a ripple when they daintily decend into the pool – really my love I thought you would have known these things by now?
Katie
The evil green eyed dog didn’t know how to handle Batman I think she was secretly wondering where her Robin outfit was……..
KC….I get the little boys looves, They are just too cute.
Katie…I had forgotton about the Cabana Boy that would stop all splashes from leaving the pool with his Cabana boy splash stopping powers anyway. But you are right my splashes would be minimal with my svelte toned body.
Your son is adorable. He probably felt as if he could take on the world in this outfit! And re the pool in the living room – I’m wondering what the rope thing is hanging over the top – what goes on in that pool? Michelle
