My superhero style

My 1st memory is my 3rd Birthday Party so I wanted to make my boys 3rd Birthday party one to remember.
We decided on a superhero theme and a general style not a specific theme such as Batman or spiderman.
Just a general superhero idea.
Can I tell you this wasn’t easy, finding anything general. There were some on Etsy or other kids party blogs but nothing that run the full range of items I required.

I decided to take on the range of items I needed from the most random of places and ended up with just having a red, blue, white and black party.
Once some of the dressed up superheros arrived it was more clear.

A collage of images that we took on the day.

I hired 2 superheros that provided 2 hours of games, treasure hunts, face painting and balloon animal fun for the kids that attended and we didn’t see or hear from them for the full 2 hours.
Yay…..I meant, oh we missed the children so much while they were being entertained.

The birthday boy loved his cake or lots of cakes and the sparklers

When the sugar kicked it was fun and games all round.

When the fun was over they all left with a goody bag.

  2. Looks great, and the ‘client’ was very happy with the result.

I am currently suffering the design tyranny of a 3 year old obsesses with Spiderman: Knitting a blanket that was supposed to be in Superhero colours of blue, black and red – and it will look like a web.

My 3 year old spotted me winding the yarn and the picture of the pattern. He got very excited, but then spotted one in only red and black, and insisted his blanket should match it. No blue! What to do with 400grams of now useless blue yarn? I also need to find more red yarn, or it will only be an itty bitty blankie!

  3. How cool! Thanks for sharing these amazing pics since i was actually looking forward to them:-). I love, love the color scheme too. Happy Monday! XX
