Pink Decorating Ideas
Pink is one of those colours that remains simply fashionable. It can be funky, eclectic, timeless and fun.
Its not one of those colours that tends to come up when you are planning a new house unless you have little or big girls needing to splash it somewhere.
Pink in different tones can be quite glamorous and classic. Or it can be very modern and eclectic.
It really is quite under rated as an accent colour because of its gender biased marketing.
Not that there is anything wrong with that, my little girl will agree pink is only for girls.
But I wanted to find a way to introduce pink without adding girly or pretty to the colour as people do…..
“Oh isn’t that a pretty pink”or “that’s very girly”
I was thinking of it this way, How can I introduce pink without Husband really noticing or caring..
This could have started its life as a pine console table and with some pink paint and capiz shells and gorgeous new handles its a talking piece as you enter the home.
It does accentuate the pinks in the wallpaper behind but as a stand alone piece I think it could blend well.

I like this though and I think generally most husbands do like anything shiny for one reason or another so this could be passed as Copper more than pink if you wanted to add a marketing spin for the sell.

Sorry I almost broke into that catchy Grease song……………
This combo is playful and fun but I also wanted to show you how its the decor that helps bring a theme.
This is slightly modern eclcetic with a little bit of glamour but the colours make it fun. This room does not take itself to seriously.
Soft pastel pink is very subtle and can blend easily with neutral colours
The beauty of introducing colour in this way is it can easily be gradually increased if you feel you can handle more colour.
OK this is perfect for me……..dipped dining table. I love it.
I have been thinking of balayage for my hair so anything dipped is on my radar right now.
OK I digress, as per usual.
You can see here the mix of pink plus deer heads….quite a juxtaposition which is what I love.
This is the perfect way of helping husbands everywhere accept a little pink
