How to create this design inspired Reading Nook.
You know sometimes all you really want to do is find the easiest way to create a great design inspired space.
What would happen if all you had to do was send me a picture of a great space and your prefered styling slant (modern, tribal, regency) and I could give you all the necessary elements to recreate what you had wished for.
I had an E-Decorating client approach me with a wish for a masculine rock chic look with a global edge. Ok I was able to narrow that title down from a few photos he sent me and we decided to land on the above Elle Decor image as our inspiration.
He is in an Apartment in the City and doesn’t spend a great deal of time at home. When he does, its mostly to relax with his vast collection of global buys and read a good book. We started with a small nook near his front door that was earmarked for a dining area but decided as its not a space he uses we would transform it. Here is what I found.

That inspitation picture is stunning. I’m just realising (!) that my ‘look’ is actually quite masculine which surprises me. Love your choices for your client.

It is really amazing to be able to come up with a mix and match combination that suits the theme or concept of choice. For me, design comes second while storage space definitely has to be the main priority. I think the reason behind that is because with an abundance of space, a place would look and feel less cluttered and airy. When that happens, a person can feel at ease and have a peace of mind while enjoying his favourite pastime, in this case is reading books.
