What does the term Wanderlust mean in terms of Interiors and Decorating. I think its a great umbrella name to highlight all things exotic, global, worldly and different from the “western” version of decorating.

The meaning itself is about the strong desire to travel, explore or wander all over the globe or wherever your heart desires.

Now if your a world traveller with a strong architectural, design or decorative background you will generally bring back a piece that represents that part of the globe you just visited and what its represents to you decoratively. I think everyones pieces will be different but overall similar.

I have only ever travelled to Asian destinations and I think that is why I have a strong affinity for everything Chinoiserie but I have also started to be influenced by Eastern and more “tribal” type design.

My latest love is Bohemian which also covers many different styles but has a more relaxed eclectic feel.
