If you were blindfolded and placed inside the front door of this home you would be surprised to find yourself wandering over to the expansive curtains and discovering its the top floor home in the highly regarded Aria Apartments in Swanbourne. This airy, light filled space is not your typical family home that sees you passing sugar across the fence line although you could if you popped on your Spiderman outfit. It is however stylishly homely with all the luxury of holiday living.

Without having to enter through the secure glass entry doors, beautifully tiled lift and art filled hallways you would never know once inside, that this was apartment living at its finest.

These apartments were Architecturally designed by Hillam Architects and built by Probuild. With quality finishes on offer in a series of different specification packages, Blackburne (the developer) were able to give the owners control over the level of finish that support each of their individual lifestyles.

What is also on show through the apartments amenities are a resort-style fitout including an expansive infinity pool with views to the city, and a host of resort-style facilities.  I have decided I want to move in to this apartment even if its in the Laundry.

How long have you been in your home?

Approximately 18 months.

Who lives here? 

Paul, Gea and Tom (and Rosie our dog!)

Did anyone help you with your styling, hard surface selections?

Hard surface selections were part of the orignal purchase. We had 3 options/styles to choose from and we chose what was called the ‘Platinum Finishes Package” which included the stone floors and benchtops we have in our apartment.

What is your favourite item in your home?

My King Living sofa in the main living room.

What is your favourite room?

The living room…followed closely by the sky deck on a sunny day!

What is next for the design/styling side of life?

Perhaps add some colour change in terms of cushions/throws/rugs

Where do you shop for your furniture and homewares items?

Most of our furniture is from King Living including outdoor furniture.

Our soft furnishings are from Empire Homewares; King Living and Asbury Park Agency

What is it like living in an apartment?

We love the lifestyle and amenities at Aria.  The fact that we can lock and leave without issue when we go on holidays is also a bonus.

What would you tell someone to expect from living in an apartment?

Avoid ‘large’ apartment blocks if possible, as this tends to attract a lot of buyer/investors who ultimately rent out the aparments. Owners treat the complex very differently to those who rent.

If you could live anywhere else where would it be?

South of France/Greek Islands…haha. If it must be Perth, I love the coast, so probably Cottesloe.
