THERE WAS A TIME WHEN I COULDN’T STYLE BEDS…

Processed with VSCOcam with se3 preset

There was a time when I couldn’t style beds. Hard to believe I know ???? I used to find the idea of styling them for work purposes quite daunting and I would do anything to avoid them. Being asked to dress the bedrooms in my role as a Visual merchandiser was essential but just not my forte. Hand me a Living Room or Dining Room and I was on it, but bedrooms…….aaaaagh.

Skip along 10 years and I am awesome at styling beds (because I discovered some tricks) I enjoy them and love creating a new look all the time. Much to my Husbands pleasure I am always changing things around and adding in more cushions (he loves that part especially) and bedside accessories as well as disconnecting his alarm clock so you cant see it when I post pics…that is one trick right there.

Lucky for my Husband this time around I was able to team up with Target to create a new playful bedroom using this seasons colours. He is going to be so excited……ok you know I am kidding about Hubby don’t you?

Did you read yet that this season we are embracing 2 key colours thanks to Pantone (Rose Quartz and Serenity) I thought I would embrace both colours adding just a hint to the Linen/Cotton Quilt Cover but adding black and white has helped me keep it true to my existing style.

The essentials sheets are the best value EVER and I was able to find a colour called Oyster which had an ever so slight pink hue that I have fallen in love with. I added in a strong textural new cushion, Lisa T Copper clock and “Made with Love” keepsake jar.

I also grabbed a couple of amazing bargains, one of which I did a shout out on my Instagram…those frames (they are probably sold out now but $15 was hard to pass up) The bottle vase and the black and white box were $10 each…again probably not any left but you can always check.

Pair these items with the black bedside, picture frame and table lamp that I had already had and I think we have a new winning combination. I am sure my Hubby will be so excited to see how good this looks when he gets home from work.

Before you check out the rest of the pics I would love to hear some of your bedroom styling tips..anything at all, they could cost nothing or 1 million dollars but either way I am totally interested so leave a comment below.
