Mid Century Modern, Chestnuts 11.

We have lift off. So this week was a busy one. Our electrical box went up the pool was created and the exterior colours were decided on at the 11th hour.
Our pool builder is amazing. The guy you ring on the phone is the guy that forms it up and the guy that hands it over when its finished. I love that. We have a pool and a second hole formed that will house all our pool equipment and filter which will all be hidden under the decking with a trap door for access.
I have nicknamed it the Bunker.
Our Builder has his name up in lights now too, Calautti Homes. The man you phone is the one who sends you the paperwork and the same guy who is the site supervisor and hands you your keys at the end. I think you can see a trend with how we like to do things.
After 3 project home builds….which all had their pros and cons this was the best solution for us this time around.
My Creative licence has also taken me from having the Architects colour version to my changes.
He was a little worried at first but after seeing what I was aiming for he has agreed my exterior colour choices are just as workable as his.

I am no longer going for Whisper White as the image above shows but the timber “play school” window is in, the stone blade wall and the Surfmist Lysaght roof is also a 100% decision done.
A few more exterior decisions to be confirmed but that where we are for now creating our

  1. Wow! I love your exterior! I so wish that you were doing this build 12-18months earlier…I would have ‘stolen’ some of your ideas :) Looking forward to reading more about your build.
