Ox Blood Burgundy Colour Trend Alert for 2013
2013 has already put its hand up and admitted to a few colours that will be prominent.
I am telling you this because as you start the new year you will start wondering where your decor is going to be heading. And as all the sales start finishing and all the new home wares and colour trends start sprinkling through you may want to keep it in mind.
I can see it now, you will be out taking up a fantastic deal on orange cushions only to see your new favourite cushion come out a few weeks later in OX Blood.
I am sure you will be thinking why didn’t any of those amazing Home, decor, design Blogs I read tell me.
Oh and yep they are calling it Ox blood a dark brownish red colour, we will probably all refer to it as Burgundy, Chianti or that Rich Maronie Purple colour but however you want to refer to it, its coming.
Its a much more exciting version of the Burgundy of the 90’s. Not so boring, not so rigid and stiff upper lip.
I thought I might be that blog that you head out on your decor shopping trip and think oh remember Elements at Home told us about this colour, look its finally here, she was right. Can I will tell you, visually along the way that there are a few different takes on this colour and really it is going to be how you take the colour on board and run with it. There will be Burgundies of the 90’s that you can bring back in but be careful not to try and just fall short.
The fashion will filter through this way also. You will not be going wrong if you pick up a piece in this colour now.
I’ve never been a fan of burgundy or maroon which is bad for any queenslander as maroon is Qld footy colour!…
any hoo my partner and I just purchased a gorgeous aboriginal piece of art…in this colour! and we can’t stop looking at it…it sure is a conversation piece!
