Concrete Flooring…..I need your help.
I am pretty sure we are going to put concrete flooring in the new build…..but I have never had it before and not sure if I can live without my timber. We will do a simple polished look, no aggregate exposure just concrete. There are options to put a coloured resin over the top………….maybe white………..
See I am thinking about it, but just not sure. I need your thoughts and opinions people. What ever info you have throw it at me. Have a gorgeous Saturday. Its 30 degrees here and the pool is calling me.
This is sounding very exciting…I love the white but imagine the greys would be easier to hide the sins of family living!!!

Hmmm, it is a hard one. I have had timber for the last 3 houses and tiles before that. Hated the tiles to the max. Concrete? Always looks lovely and fresh and compliments the features. I would like to try concrete next time and I think the white sounds very nice, classical and fresh. You know you love concrete so go for it I say.
I know, timber is hard to go past but your right I have been harping on for a while regarding this concrete so I should just bite the bullet.
You can change the colour of the concrete by using different sands and ash in the mix. The top photo is a local townhouse. Get several companies to price and speak to previous clients. Polishing concrete without agregate is quite difficult and you need experts with lotsa experience. Also quadruple check before the pour that all rough-in items are acurately located, falls are detailed etc…because there’s no second chances! Any specific questions just ask away over on my blog.
