Feather Decorating

In keeping with tomorrows fanfare I thought I would add a Melbourne cup feel to my post. Stay with me, I was thinking fascinators and arrived at feathers. They adorn quite a few hats and fascinators for Melbourne’s day of dressing like a Royal.

I have a sort of love hate relationship with them. I love them because of their natural beauty but when I think about them being a birds natural coating I tend to freak out a bit. I feel bad when I see a massive bunch of them together wondering how they got so many all at once.
OK your right I am thinking about it way tot hard.
So lets not think about it too hard and lets just enjoy how I would decorate with feathers when my Issewes (I am spelling it how I say it) pass.
……….And Thank you to feather.com.au you can purchase your own online. These and some other pheasant feathers would be perfect as your centrepiece or DIY craft options. I Love this website for its variety and easy to browse online store.

I love these cushions there bright colours and gorgeous tones are perfect for decorating. You can find them and other colour options available at Down That Little Lane
Here are some more ideas to decorate with feathers

This is one of the best displays of JUJU Hat use I have seen and its over on the lovely Ish and Chi Blog by Vivian Masour

As you can see wheather its a few feathers n a vintage jam jar, a few oversized prints, a feather trimmed wreath for you door this Christmas, a hanging feather pendant light or a fashion window from your favourite designer Lanvin. There is a tasteful way to decorate with feathers and it doesnt need to look like a feather boa has cloned itself and multiplied.
Have I helped you with some feather decor ideas because I do beleive I may have solved my FEATHER ISSEWES.
