Colour Introduction

How to decorate with colour without making your walls the feature.
Colour is huge right now, but if you look back at decor colour has always been big its just the shades and tones that change.
If you find a colour you love and pair it with another colour in your home you should be able to confidently place that colour wherever you feel colour should help break up a room.
Don’t get me wrong this room is divine but add in a blue coffee table or purple pendant and you have instant attraction.
It creates a stopping point in the room, somewhere (would you believe) for your eyes to take a rest.
With no stopping point your eyes can sometimes just keep moving around the room and never land.
I love the purple of this pendant. I can see it on its own but I can also imagine a few over a breakfast bench with some bright blue navy chairs.

I am starting some up-cycling for added colour against my pastel. I have been trying to introduce colour for a while without buying new. This lantern was once white and with time and the sun it went a lovely shade of bad cream…..now its this gorgeous Kelly Green

Adding colour outside allows your playful side to come out without interfering with your current interior.

Ecochic Outdoor Rugs, this rug is reversible.

Maybe a little colour in your kids room is a great place to help your 1st colour purchase.

How have you introduced colour?
