Church Conversion

This property sold not so long ago somewhere in the region of $3.5 mill and as much as I love the way its presented here, there is a little part of me that wants to know how the new owners have decorated this gorgeous space.
I wonder how would I live in this space, would I take all my existing furniture or does a house like this command a new decorating style to my mismatched timber and black with hints of floral and olive green.

Looking at it from this angle you would never know what was going on beyond the doors and now that I have a glimpse of the internal architecture its the personality of new furnishings that will transform this property.
I love the elegance and simplicity of this room and the choice of lighting and colours.
A 12 people table and fabric covered dining chairs would be my choice and large scale artwork.
An over sized Rug and natural big armed sofas with plush cushions would be sitting in front of the fireplace.
At the back of the sofa would be a console table with my favourite lamp and
The Banner here states “Holiness becomes thy House”
Well that is now true with this fabulous Church Conversion
Love the desk and of course the windows are more than I could ever ask for.
I feel like I may sit in the kitchen and wonder what I might find through the Arch window.
Thanks to playschool for that sentence staying with me.
I spy a timber bench behind the marble bar……another love of mine.
I see they removed the 2 red recliners that were there in the previous pictures.
This is just showing the space available in this home and I am loving it even more.
If you owned this Home would you paint the facade or leave it white?

  1. I’m always intrigued by different ‘conversions’ of buildings into homes, like the barn conversions on Escape To The Country. If I owned the home above, I think I’d probably keep the facade white. It all looks beautiful inside but I have to agree, the furniture all looks a little lost to me – a bigger table and rug would definitely fill the space more :)
