Splashback, Backsplash, Inspiration anyway you say it.
If you want to use the splashback in your kitchen as a piece of art and a design statement, maybe its time to think about wallpaper.
Start by looking for a bold, graphic print or a more subtle design, depending on how adventurous you think you can be in your kitchen, and apply it to the wall above the stove and the sink. Once the wallpaper has set, attach clear glass to the area so that the design shows through. Obviously a specifically designed glass that suits the heat behind your stove top.
This way you can tailor your splashback to suit your individual taste.
I wish I stayed in my homes long enough so I am not always considering the tastes of others for the perfect sale, but maybe one day we will finally build our forever home (those who know us please stop laughing) and you will find a wallpapered splash back coming from my camera.
I hope the inspiration was tempting….maybe you would or have considered this option…please let me know and I would love to feature it here on my blog…..
Wow. Some of those look stunning. Had never heard of this until now.
Have an amazing week.

I had to laugh reading this, is there such a thing as a “forever” house, we are planning our house entirely around “nuetral” for better resale. We discuss staying put for anywhere from 5yrs to 15yrs, but NEVER forever!!
Not for me because even though some of these look very beautiful, I was a child in the 70s and therefore scarred forever by mission brown and, worse – a sunny yellow kitchen with yellow pattern lino!! Plain Jane for me I’m afraid….
now, This is a great idea! wall paper as back splash. love it! is there such a thing as a forever home?:-). it does suck when you have to think about resale when you decorate your home. i always do what i want anyway and deal with it “the issues” if they arise when i am about to sell:-). have a lovely day.
