Thursdays a few of my favourite Wine Things

Wine painted walls
With all that’s going on in Queensland I decided its only right to look forward and see where we are heading.
Of course its also an opportunity for you to grab a glass of wine and escape what’s around you and let me keep your mind elsewhere.
One of the new significant colours coming through is Wine (No, not the noise your Hubby’s make).
Wine wallpaper
There are some Maroons that appear Wine in colour and these will work also.
Its seems to be one of those colours that is a bit hit and miss and when it comes it doesn’t stay for long because its always associated with traditional colours of green and gold.
Wine sofa
Let me tell you this will be a big colour for 2011….and you know when I tell you what’s coming you know
it does…..and you always thank me.
Do you remember this post here and here
Well I am all about what’s coming up and being prepared when making major purchases for you home.
Wine Drapes and accessories
You could mix the Wine back with the Turquoise of  last year and it will work in beautifully.
Seeing as fashion and fabrics are a driving force in the colour world it also helps be a key indicator of what will happen in decor as well.
So if Diane von Furstenberg can highlight Wine with Yellow so can I.
The key colours to mix back with Wine are the ones we are all loving right now.
But to make it clear, mixing Wine back with Yellows, Greys and Navy’s and any bright colours like the new Honeysuckle will be the way to use Wine the best.
Why not simply add Wine by the glass or bottle. This will work back against the yellow of the sun as you sit back and ponder the day ahead.

Maybe you could add Wine by a floral arrangement

Wine Rugs and carpets.
These are a few of my favourite Wine things.
I hope you were able to escape your surroundings for just a moment.

  1. I think wine/burgundy gets a really bad rap, as it happens it actually suits just about every skin tone imaginable – one of the few colours (besides purple) that just about everyone looks good in.

Thank you for my gardenia & stool tips, I will try them both out.

    Love, K

  2. Thanks for the comments on my blog. And…even though my style is not yours, I love how you can still appreciate it. I feel the same way when I see a room that isn’t me but I can still love it!

  3. I have my wine glass ready!! Love the colors, very reminds me of my favorite season; fall! And yes, husbands do make a lot of whiny noise lol!

    Happy Friday!
