Starting on the Bench
I have this lovely idea that you can walk in someones house and immediately get a feel for who they are and what their style is…..
I know I keep going on about it but I have a client looking at how to create a great entrance so alot of research has been done on this very important room.
I know of so many homes that when you walk in you are in a walkway and unless you stop and look sideways at the walls you miss all the personality that was created.
Some of the ideas I have focused on previously have been based on walls and tables. This time I thought I would look at other options so make the entrance interesting.
Hubby quite often comes down stairs and sits at the Dining table to put on his shoes and get his things together in his man bag for the day.
I can’t help thinking a bench or seating at the front door will help give him a designated man bag, shoe placing area that doesn’t require me to say push the chair back in before you leave……please.
OK its not a bench or seat but its Divine.
The Gust avian bench that blends so well into this space you have to be careful not to miss it.
Nice post!!! Such beautiful benches. I received a garden bench for my birthday but as it has been raining so much it is still inside! Maybe until its ‘newness’ wears off a bit. I love that last one. Something about those stairs and clean lines… Have a nice day
Love the benches and what a good idea for your hubby. I have a seat in my entry and I do tend to use it to organise my handbag before I go out:)
i am looking for a bench for my mudroom-I have been searching on etsy all week :)
Ohh I adore the artwork above the desk in the next to last photo in this post! I wish we could see more of it. And I agree, I didn’t really notice the Gustavian bench in the last pic until you pointed it out. That staircase is so dreamy though! Lots of beautiful hallway inspiration here.
