BRANCHING OUT
I went for my usual 5am walk this morning and decided I would search for a branch for my Alfresco Christmas decor.
I found a branch just like the one below and saved it in a little place on my walk that I would be able to find easily when I went back with my car later on.
Oh and no it didn’t already have candles on it, I don’t know where they grow those candle trees but they are amazing…………
No I am not serious but I have some friends who would believe me if I told them that candles grew on trees.
I crack me up some days.
So anyway the branch looked a bit like this.
I got my street art self a spray can and felt like I was going to get in trouble for buying it because it was behind a gate……….For a brief moment I forgot I was in my 30’s.
Can I just say spray paint really sinks into wood and the branches will require way more than 1 awkward coat.
In my mind it will turn out like all these wonderful images below but I am also realistic so just hoping to get close.
Gorgeous aren’t they.
I will be back to post an update when its all done.
Wish me luck.
Its going to be beautiful, can’t wait to see it and I don’t think you will need luck as you have plenty of creative flair!
Love this type of Christmas decorating. One year when I didn’t have a tree I spray painted a bunch of branches silver, stuck them in a huge glass vase with a bunch of baubles and that was my tree for the year. I’m not sure the kids were impressed, but I was :)
I hope it turns out well…Those images are just lovely.xx
