Every little step.
My Alfresco is slowly coming together. We have paving finished which means the end of the sandy desert is nearly over and the glass pool fence can go up in preparation for the pool to be finished.
Our bi fold doors will be locked open once summer hits. I love being able to enjoy the inside while outside.
Oh I can’t wait.
View from the kitchen/dining area.
The floor of the Alfresco will be tiled. We will be doing that once the grass and plants are in.
Along the back wall we will be putting some cabinetry and a BBQ with space for a fridge and bench prep area.
Our kitchen
I couldn’t find any taupe coloured power point covers but you generally don’t see our kitchen from this angle so its not to much of a big deal.
This is the angle we usually see.
I painted the fridge and pantry wall in a colour that matched the cabinetry and it also became our feature wall separating the lounge/dining area.
It is one of those colours that changes colours depending on the light.
Sometimes it appears like a tinge of green is showing through and sometimes it matches perfectly regardless I love the overall effect.
and from here you can see all my pot drawers and my tv and laptop area in the background.
View from the dining area. We decided on some plants for the window over the sink. They will grow quite wide so 3 will soon look like 5.
The little touch of love you see here is a place mat inside a vase for effect and added colour.
I store all my coffee pods, tea and sugar in the box.
The vignette as a whole.
Your outdoor area is great as is the rest of your home! Love the big table with the modern chairs. It’s coming along so nicely. xx
So So So beautiful & stylish. Your home is lovely. I love how you have used a window as your splash back in the kitchen, a definate WOW factor.Your bound to so many great BBQ’s with such an inviting alfresco area.

Your home is fabulous right down to the creative idea to store your coffee pods and tea in a decorative box!
Love, love your kitchen! I am a big fan of the indoor/outdoor vibe too. Beautiful photos.
PS. Your comment on my blog therapy post was heartwarming and made my night. Thank you. XX
Your home is stunning!! So classy and beautiful. I love your kitchen and I am so jealous of your bi-folding doors :) We just said goodbye to summer here in Vancouver so I will be missing the indoor/outdoor living for a while.
It looks sensational! Gorgeous colours and I love the tone of your floor (it’s bamboo from memory?). Hey thanks so much for your wonderful idea of finding a student interior designer to help me out. I will look into it! Shame it is the end of the academic year but someone may still be keen. Of course if the prospect of a holiday in Melbourne does interest you…….
