Wickered
You know this is probably more about the decor than the furniture.
But it goes to show you can make a look peep out from any room with any furniture.
Wicker, rattan, cane, bamboo, its all textures I love working with in furniture for your home.
Even 1 piece somewhere in some design will work no matter what your style, theme or colour.
It adds natural texture, warmth, personality and its always good for fengshui energy….if your that way inclined.
It used to be considered furniture only money could buy…but these days its in every bodies reach.
I think for a while we saw so much of it in the Balinese looks that we got a bit scared if we thought about putting it into our classically inspired homes in case it changed our theme.
Now you can see it can be adapted to any look, its what you surround it with that makes it so easily transitioned into your design style.
I love how the cushions tie in the door
So grand and elegant
Early settler really has some great looks
I love designer Kathryn Ireland.
The mix of textures and colour and design appeal to all my senses….
Wicker chairs for that natural look
Not just wicker for sitting on but for decorating with.
My rattan coffee table….the lid slides across and all my magazines are inside.
Wicker bar stools add some warmth and personality to an otherwise crisp kitchen.
My new armchair research corner….a little more warmth was needed and this was the choice.
So have I made you contemplate some natural wonders in your home.
I think I need a high gloss fire engine red front door – maybe this weekend…….
